Today My Landrover discovery 1996 tdi 300i just had its dashboard oil light suddenly failing to go off after starting. There is a funny sound at the top of the engine which has developed and the engine oil light flikers on and off. when you try to rev the accelerator pedal the oil light stays permanently on. please advise Engine oil level is however ok.
